I am searching for the parentage of Elizabeth "Betsy" COWLES, who was born 29 November 1837 (using a birthdate calculator), perhaps in Spencer, Tioga County, NY. She died on 20 July 1894 and is buried in the North Spencer Cemetery, Spencer, NY. Betsy married Philo KELSEY circa 1859-60. Philo was killed in the Civil War and Betsy never remarried. Elon was born in Canaan, Litchfield County, CT in the heart of where my ancestors were from. I am not directly connected to the COWLES OR KELSEY lines but they *are* connected to my family. Betsy COWLES and Philo KELSEY had two children that I am aware of: Charles Franklin and Philo Lewis. Help on this line greatly appreciated. Janice
