I am looking for James V. Ditmars who married Charlotte Rebecca Horton. Family records say their son, Henry James, was born in Candor, Tioga Co. NY on September 28, 1848. By 1849, they moved on to Michigan, and then to Iowa. I don't know much else about James V. Ditmars - other than he was born about 1819/20 in New York somewhere. As for the Hortons, I believe Charlotte father was William H. Horton b. about 1802 and her mother was Olive ? b. about 1809 in New York.
