    1. [NYTIOGA] Leahy - Redding connection?
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Leahy, Tierney, Sweeney, Marooney, Blanchard, Collins, Redding, Hardman Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/3RB.2ACE/357 Message Board Post: On the West face of the LEAHY memorial spire at St. Patrick's Cem. it reads: Elizabeth Redding Leahy 1859-1920 William P. Leahy 1867-1931 William is one of Patrick's sons. In my notes I've had Elizabeth as William's wife, but that would be surprising for her to be 8 years older. (Also the 1859 could actually be 1850 - hard to read). Could she be a daughter in law? Did William have children (my records don't show any)? Can anyone help me with the LEAHY/REDDING connection? Who was this Elizabeth Redding LEAHY? - Thanks, Ray

My g grandfather was Patrick LEAHY and my grandfather was his son James J. LEAHY. Another son Joseph LEAHY married Gertrude HARDMAN. I would be interested in her parents, siblings, ancestry because of that connection. I recently was in touch with Joseph and Gertrude's son Bob LEAHY (my late mother's cousin), who, I believe does spend some time at the big old white mansion, Vesper Cliffs, on the Owego outskirts, but, I believe lives primarily at his home in Binghamton. His daughter Kathleen contacted me, and we plan to exchange some family history. Meanwhile, if you can fill me in on Gertrude Hardman Leahy's family, would appreciate. - Ray
