He married Ann TIERNEY. His father was Michael LEAHY, who came over later since he is buried with other LEAHYs in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Owego. My grandfather, Patrick's son, was James J. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/3RB.2ACE/161.1 Message Board Post: Hello, this may not be any use, but my husband's mother was Margaret Leahy, one of 9 children born in Fethard, County Tipperary in the 1900s. As far as I know, there were 2 brothers, Michael & James, I think, who completely disappeared. One left a note in a joiner's vice in the workshop where he worked saying that when the fields were white with daisies he would return, but he never did. When they were young they lived in a cottage in Moyglas. Margaret and her brothers came to England, to Hampshire and Surrey. We have been over to Ireland many times and have found decendants called Thompson who live in Clonbrogan, Tipperary. There are one or two Leahys around but as yet we have not met them. It's possible that these are relatives of the ones you are tracing. I wish you well in your search. There is something called the Brian Boru Centre at Cashel which holds lots of records. Have you visited Ireland? You would find everyone very helpful. We found the Thompson fami! ly within hours of visiting Fethard via the Post Office there and a knowledeable man ina newsagents.

Two brothers are buried in the N.Spencer cemetery, stones are one behind the other and William spelled his with ert and his brother Luther spelled it urt. I Have been researching the Hulbert family for quite some time and have found no connection between E. Burritt and William and Luther. I tried to unsub from old email address which is judith@mtco.com ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ You have to unsubscribe before you loose your old address I believe or it won't let you erase someone else's subscription. Nobody dies if the system keeps trying and failing to get your mail there and I think there may be some sort of automatic means of dropping out addresses after soo much of a problem but don't know for sure.
