I am researching the descendants of Francis King with died in Ithaca, NY c. 1830. Some of the children a generation or two down end up in Barton. Do you have any additional information on your King line? I am at work, or I would provide more particulars on what I have. I can't hold it all in my head.

I am not sure where William and Ida May lived I am assuming in this area, nobody seems to know in the family, maybe either Owego or Nichols. They were married on April 26, 1893. I have absolutely no other info on him not a middle name or dob or dod. I do know that Ida May Johnson was born on Dec 25, 1868 and died on Sept. 29, 1944. I got that info from a cousin who sent it to me from the census of Hume NY in 1875 so she was still quite young then. Thanks ahead of time for any help you might be able to give me. Did you change your email address?? I tried sending you one to the one I have and it came back user unknown. So if you'd like to correspond through email instead of this way please let me know. In case you forgot it my email is pcreeley2@stny.rr.com. Will be looking forward to hearing from you.... Thanks so much, Penny

    1. [NYTIOGA] Warner families in E. Nichols (Waits Settlement)
    2. Helen Graves
    3. I am researching James R. Warner who was born in 1839 in E. Windham, Bradford Co., PA. His possible father was a Nathan Warner I found on the 1840 census for Warren, Bradford Co., PA, who had 2 sons under 5 in his household. I could not find Nathan Warner on the 1850 census for Bradford Co., PA. It is possible he moved across the border into Tioga Co. In James Warner's Civil War pension file he said he lived in Waits Settlement prior to enlisting at Candor, Tioga Co., in 1861. After the war, from 1866-1884, he lived in Waits Settlement. The 1872 Nichols directory lists his residence as a rural delivery in "East Nichols". Does anyone have information on Warner families who lived in this southern area of Tioga County? I suspect that James Warner's father Nathan died. One source says his mother was Elinor CORTRIGHT. Either his father died and his mother re-married another Warner -- or his mother died and his father remarried because when James Warner died in 1925, his obituary lists 3 half-brothers, all with the last name of WARNER and 2 half-sisters, one of whom was a Mary Warner GARRISON who lived in Newark Valley in 1925. Any help would be appreciated. Years ago I contacted the Nichols Town Clerk who replied that they had no records prior to 1885. If he lived in Waits Settlement, should I have contacted the Owego Town Clerk or historian instead? -- Helen Graves
