They have a baby buried in a graveyard in Spencer, Tioga county.. They later moved to Yates County. They lived there around the late 1850's-early 1860's. I believe Jennie is from Tioga county. Anybody that might have info on them I would be very grateful. They are my Great-Great Grandparents. I am trying to find out what there parents name's where if they had any siblings etc. I have hit a brick wall.. My ancestors were William and Cornelia Denning who had several children, including my gr-gr-grandfather George Denning who was born in 1830. He and his brothers became masons so they apparently learned the trade in Tioga, where they seemd to have lived for 20 years before moving to Odessa, Schuyler Co., NY. Thanks for any help. I know that some of the censuses say Abram was born in New Jersey, some New York, and another record has PA. I also know that Abram may've been in Owego, Tioga Co, NY in 1840 as his son, John, was for sure was born there. He mainly shows up in Tioga Co in the census records.

    2. What courthouse department would have records of a hearing to determine if a person were a "lunatic" in 1892? I have a copy of a summons for a witness to the hearing to be held in Owego.
