Mr. Conklin was born in Peekskill, N.Y. He was preceded in death by his father, George R. Conklin. Survivors include two sons, Joshua Conklin, Peekskill, N.Y., David Conklin, Augusta; a daughter, Elizabeth Conklin, Augusta; his mother, Rose Travis Conklin, Augusta; five brothers, George Conklin, Stanfordville, N.Y., James Conklin, Peekskill, N.Y., Ralph Conklin, Mike Conklin, and Tony Conklin, all of Augusta; seven sisters, Debra Meyer, Sarah Vanetten, Jean Marie McClellan of Augusta, Loretta Santos, Carol Santos, of Peekskill, N.Y., Rose Marie Conklin, Yonkers, N.Y., Christine Conklin, Union City, Calif. Palbearers are Joshua Conklin, George Conklin, Ralph Conklin, James Conklin, Tony Conklin, and Mike Conklin.
