As far as we know, their names started as Lenek and got changed to Lenox somewhere along the line. After doing a little research, I think they were polish immigrants but have no idea when they came over because when I looked up all Shelter Island census data on ancestry.com, the availability of the censuses goes from 1850 to 1930. If you have any information, we'd really appreciate it. Thanks!
