Shortly before or after, they migrated out of Suffolk, across NY, and into Michigan. I think I have them placed in Orange County in the 1830 census. I know that there were a handfull of Babcocks in Southampton area in the early 1800's one cluster seems to be a widowed wife (Jerusha or Mary) raising a few daughters. There is also a William or a Benjamin that could have been Phebe's father. Does anyone have Phebe in their records as coming from Suffolk?
