He is brother to my direct ancestor, George Mathewson HUBBARD b. 1864 in Bayshore, Suffolk, NY. Parents, George HUBBARD b. 26 Nov. 1832 and Mary Jane BROWN b. 1840 both Bayshore, Suffolk, NY. They were married abt. 1856. Additional siblings, Charles b. 1857, Oscar J.C. b. 1859, Warren b. 1866, Ralph Edward b. 1871. 1900 Census indicates: "George and Mary married 44 years, 7 children, 5 living. George and Mary moved to Bronx, NY. George became US Custom Inspector 23 June, 1874. Sorry, but I do not know name of John's wife. I have been concentrating on direct line, but I recall seeing the SWEEZY name. Any connection?
