I have actually dealt with the State before and it did take a long time. IF they can find the record, then you essentially get all information on file. I asked for death records and it included name, address, birth date, birth place, parents names, parents birthplaces, cause of death, burial info. It comes in an official certificate form. Of course, death record info is only as good as the person who is giving the info to the coroner. I am usually skeptical about the info until I can verify it. Example: I rec'd the death record for my husand's great-grandfather. It said his mother was a particular person. Turns out that woman was his step-mother. Nancy
