    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Pilkington Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/jUB.2ACI/673.1.1 Message Board Post: Jeff, thanks for your insightful diagnosis on Reuben Pilkington's death certificate. It makes sense to me now. It's funny, you think all you need is a death or birth certificate to answer the question - who were they. Then when it comes, it somehow doesn't seem like enough. I wondered if he was able to work, hold down a job, marry, etc. Then I wondered also what the circumstances were around his admittance into Brunswick, Suffolk Co., since there seems to be information indicated as "unknown" for his parents, whom he surely must have known (he lived with his mother up until at least 1880 (census records) and he was 28 years old. Any ideas on that? Were they so dysfunctional they were unable to hold work? It indicates that he was "single," but I'm wondering if that's necessarily so. Anyway, thanks again for your input. I will pass it along to my family. Sheila
