Hello Folks: I am new to this list.I usually do all my research in Brooklyn but just found a relative that lived in Bay Port from about 1872 to at least 1896. William Lawrence Johnson was born about 1872 in Bay Port to Frank C. and Belle Johnson. I have William on the 1880 Bay Port Census with his parents and siblings. On 15 May 1896 William married Carrie Fowler Mapes ( my relative ) at the Strong Place Baptist Church in Brooklyn. In 1898 he graduated from the American Vet School in New York and passed the Vet exam in January 1899. I have the marriage certificate of these two kids but can not find hide nor hair of them since that time. What happened to them ? Her sister Katie Mapes got married on the same day and place and I have found her and family in the Bronx from 1900 to 1930. If anyone is related to this couple, William L. & Carrie Johnson I would love to hear from you. If anyone has any ideas to aid my search I am all ears ! William had two other siblings, Myrtle and Oscar.I found Oscar in the 1920 & 30 Census in Southold.And a son of Oscar's, Frank in the 1930 Census for Southold. Thanks, Blanche
