It is reference to one of our largest volunteer efforts to date, the Manhattan Bride's Index. Any help you can provide would be helpful. Tony I recently sent an e-mail stating that we were not going to start the Manhattan Bride Index. I have all the records for this project but most of the cards are those cards with ten names per card. Those are the ones that everyone fears. We also have cards with only one name on them. The cards with the ten names per card are the ones that we have to scan. We won’t be getting to them until we get a better scanner. The cards with one name do not have to be scanned. That would be a waste of time. So…………. I would like to give these cards with one name per card to the volunteers on the Long Island. There are approximately 4,500 names per box. They are too expensive and too valuable to mail. I will be at the Family History Library, in Plainview, on Tuesday night from 7 pm to 9:30 pm and would like to meet volunteers there to give them a box. This would save me from running all over Long Island. I realize the holidays are coming up and these can wait until you get to them.
