I am researching Smith Brower b. 1817 Queens Co NY, he married Susan, they had a family in Islip, NY: Ezra, Henry, Mellisa, Alonzo, John. Ezra Brower was a ship Captain, and married Elizabeth Brower Pullis, they had a family in Islip, NY : Smith b. 1858, Peter b. 1860, Susie b. 1865, Crissie b. 1876 Smith Brower b. 1858 married Ella Johnson Clock, and they had a family in Islip, NY: Louella b. 1880, Frank William b. 1881, August b. 1889, Ervin b. 1889, Alonzo b. 1895. The sad part of this story is that both Frank and August were given away as orphans, even though both of their parents lived very long lives in Islip, NY. The 2 boys were sent to Missouri on the Orphan Train, and all the records survive which prove the story. A direct descendant of one of those orphans is now looking for the ancestors of Smith Brower b. 1817 Queens Co NY, so this is what we need.
