Zachariah Greene was also painted by Mount. One painting "Great-Grandfather's Tales of the Revolution" is in the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. There was at least one other painting of his daughter Mary Howard Greene m. Benjamin F. Thompson that is supposed to be owned by a descendant who is unknown to me. We have been searching for that portrait to make a picture of it without success. The Met did make a photograph of the one they own and sent it to us. Mary Greene and Benj. F. Thompson had a daughter Harriet Satterly Thompson, so I assume the Samuel Thompson you cite is Benjamin's father who m. Phoebe Satterly. I believe the portrait of Mary probably included Benj. as well. It has been some time since we actively searched for it. Harriet Satterly Thompson married Jacob Tuthill Vanderhoof and the painting in the Met has Zachariah Greene and the three Vanderhoof children along with a bust of George Washington. Mount ,He painted three portraits one of my ancester General John Roe Satterly one on John's wife and one of Samuel L.
