Westchester County Genealogical Society (NY) Upcoming Meeting The next meeting for Westchester County Genealogical Society (WCGS) is this coming Saturday at the Dobbs Ferry Public Library. Meeting starts at 10 a.m. but come earlier to network. Professional genealogist Harlan Jessup will be discussing When The Records are Wrong: Identifying Errors in the Sources. Mr. Jessup will be showing interesting examples of errors that we have all seen in widely-used sources. He will be pointing out how to detect the errors. Mr Jessup is a professional genealogist and family historian. He is the author many articles and his book is on the Civil War experience of Harlan’s maternal family – The Painful News I have to Write: Letters and Diaries of Four Hite Brothers of Page County in the Service of the Confederacy.
