JohnHand, born KENT ENGLAND married Alice Gransden in Tonsbridge ENGLAND and had child John Hand Jr. Came to Sagus(Lynn)MA 1630's. Had several more children. In mid 1640's moved to Southampton LongIsland, and ca 1649 they moved to Easthampton LongIsland. Several sons in ship business, whether builders or sailors. John died ca 1662. Son Joseph moved to Guilford NewHave after fathers death, were he married Jane Wright. 1665 it became CT. Thomas, shipsman, Benjamen and Shamgar Hand of Long Island moved to Cape May, CAPE MAY NJ ca 1704. Have Davis, Wright, Talmadge, Bennett, Bancroft, Garretson, Crowell and others in line.
