Know his children and am descended from his son Fletcher." There are several points that you should be aware of: 1. Currently, there are places in both the Town of Babylon, Suffolk County and in the Town of Oyster Bay, Nassau County that have an "Amityville, NY" mailing address. 2. Circa 1826, what is now the Town of Babylon was the southern part of the Town of Huntington, Suffolk County. The Town of Babylon did not secede and become independent of the Town of Huntington until 1872. 3. Circa 1826, the Town of Oyster Bay was in Queens County. Nassau County did not secede and become independent of Queens County until 1899. 4. The Village of Amityville in the Town of Babylon did not incorporate until 1894. I called the library the other day. They said either Newsday or South Bay, but they don't have SOuth Bay that far back on microfilm. I called South Bay who said they don't have old copies. South Bay said to call the funeral home. I still have the library #. I will call back today and ask them about looking up for me in Newsday. The person's obit I am looking for is Felicia Yaccarino Simonetti, my grandmother's oldest sister. She lived on South First Street with husband Joseph. They had 10 children. One of them, Louis, still lives in the house. We are going there with my parents in 2 weeks to see him, and his brother who is coming up from Florida. Felicia, b. 1888, d, 1962, was a piano teacher. Of her 10 children, she saw 3 die before her....one of a heart attack (Joseph) and 2 drowned in Great South Bay (Ralphie and Toby). I will let you know what the library says, and thanks for the offer. Margaret
