Russ Sprague Kensington, Maryland ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ From the Watertown Daily Times, October 1915 Former Resident Dead Gouverneur, Oct. 14 - A copy of the Saginaw, Mich Courier-Herald recieved here yesterday contains notice of the recent death at Bridgeport, Mich, of Mrs. Asenath Hills Chandler, a native of this town, aged 89 years. She died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. A.D. Wolcott, after a short illness caused from pneumonia. Mrs. Chandler was born here August 15, 1827, a daughter of Nathan R. and Lavina Hills, and she grew to young womanhood in this section. At the age of 18 she was united in marriage with C.W. Chandler and in 1856 they moved to Michigan, settling in Genesee county where Mr. Chandler died in 1888. In 1894 Mrs. Chandler went to Saginaw county and had since made her home with her daughter. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Wolcott, with whom she lived and Mrs. William King, Saginaw, and one son D. W Chandler of Mt. Morris, six grandchildren and seven? great-grandchildren. Burial was made at Mt. Morris Saturday.
