They had 9 children. His parents were Robert Sloan and Jane both born about 1818 in Ireland. Earl; 1860 at Lisbon, NY. 1880 in Baldwin, St. Croix, WI, a farmer. 1890 census for surviving soldiers, Wisconsin; He was a private in D company Enlisted 1867 Jan 1(16 years old) and discharged 1868 April 1. 1895 of Downsville, WI 1900 in Dunn, WI, a shingle man foreman 1910 in Dunn Township, Dunn Co. 1920 not on the census. Earl had 10 siblings. Brother Charles married Caroline who was born in Iowa. They had 2 children-Alvin and George.
