    1. Re: [NYSTLAWR] Cemetery look-up - Lawrenceville
    2. Hi The only Chimner I find is listed is in the 1900 Fed. Census as Chimner (No Given Name) Female Age 74 years B Vermont Father B France Mother B France. It states she is a Boarder and living with Charles Gay Age 41 Charles immigrated from Canada in 1887 and wife Orla Gay B Canada Father fr France Age 40 in Town of Lawrence Supervisor Dist. 6 Enumeration 99 (possibly Lawrenceville). Orla immigrated in 1893 from Canada. Female Chimner was B in Oct 1825. She is NOT shown in 1910 Fed. Census. (Not sure if there is a relationship with Gay, but they no doubt knew each other). In the same general location is Mary Fugere B1859 (6/1858) Age 42 and Single living withj Edward & Nellie Cushing in Tn of Lawrence. Cannot R or W English But can speak it. She is a Servant. You might want to obtain a microfilm from your closest LDS Family History Center to review the 1905 State Census for NYS to see if Chimner is still living and Mary and pinpoint there DOD.. Cemetery for that area might be the one that was located in Haleville St Lawrence County NY but there is not a record of those burials listed. It is possible that they are at the NYS Archives in Albany. I have a microfilm of Cemeteries for St Lawrence County at my LDS FHC but will not be going there for at least another week due to surgery. You could also contact the RC Diocese in Ogdensburg and see what church they might of attended (possible Massena or Ogdensburg) and see if any Church Records are available for Chimner or Fugere. However you might want to pinpoint the DOD for each before doing such. I would suggest that you do (2) things. Snail Mail the Town Historian at the following Address: Alice Stevenson, 3444 State Highway 11B, No Lawrence, New York 12967 and Call Town Clerk Lynn G. Villave for the DOD and a Certificate since it was after 1900 and also inquire about her Burial Permit which would tell where she was buried. There will be a charge for each 3 years that they search. Good Luck Pat R
