Dennis, Jonathan Allen, I believe is the son of Ezekiel Allen. He shows up in the 1810 census for Madrid, but was living on the River near Waddington as early as 1802. He was a Civil War soldier and his application for a pension shows up in the HeritageQuest on line website. I do not have Ira as one of his children. Good luck. Dennis, From the St. Law. Co. Historian's Office: Ezekiel Allen was a sailor and married Sarah Hassam of Manchester who was born Dec. 25, 1727. Their three children were: Jonathan, Benjamin and Ezekiel, Jr., the latter after his father was drowned at sea in Nov. or Dec. 1752. The mother lived until Sept. 12. 1803. No mention of an Ira.
