Hi Paul - If you go to the county site at www.usgenweb.org, click NY then St. Lawrence county, you will see the 1870 census transcription by Anne Cady. Thomas and Catherine and family are listed in Oswegatchie (the town that included the village of Ogdensburg at that time). Jane is 9. Her father Thomas is 33 and a cigar maker. There is a bonus Jane, age 75 who likely is Thomas's mother. There are many other good records at the site (church, newspaper, cemetery). Be sure to review those also. I did not see Princip or Prinsep in the census records. If any trouble using the site, write again.
