You can go to www.411.com 'business' listings and search fort the category 'church'. That should show you the current active churches. I associate 'parish' with Catholic but I'm not sure whether other churches might use the same term. For queries in general, I would suggest you always include the name of the person of interest and relevant dates. You have an obit so you have a name, possibly a date of death and a general location of burial. If you re-post your query, someone might see the additional info and have the piece you are missing. Of top importance would be to include the surname in the email subject line. Hope this helps - Russ Sprague Kensington, Maryland From: "Kathy Campbell" <katgcamp@bellsouth.net> To: NYSTLAWR-L@rootsweb.com Subject: [NYSTLAWR] Massena Church & Cemetery Date: Thu, 12 Jan 2006 16:11:25 -0500 I just found an obituary for someone whose funeral was held at St. Lawrence Church, and the obit says she was buried in the parish cemetery. Does anyone know the proper name for the church? Thank you. Kathy Campbell
