Burial was in the Beech Plains cemetery. Death was due to the infirmities of old age and occurred Feb. 4th at Potsdam hospital, where he had been a patient for a few days. Previously, he had been cared for by his daughter-in- law, Mrs. Mayfred Cochran Stratton. Mr. Stratton was born at Constable, N.Y., son of Almon and Alvelia Peck Stratton. He moved into this section as a young man and married Miss Elsie Selleck, sister Of George Selleck of Selleck’s Corners. During their married life, they spent some years in North and South Dakota, but most of their life was spent as Pierrepont farmers. Mrs. Stratton died in 1926. Mr. Stratton became a member of Zion Episcopal church, Colton, in 1940. Survivors are two sons, Myron and Charles, both of Colton, Rt. 1, and several grandchildren. A daughter, Mrs. Hogle, died a few years ago.
