What was her Maiden Surname and did she have family there. What year did she move there. Did she stay there or return to NYS. There should have been some clues in the Obit, Marriage and Records on your Grandmother. Did your G Grandfather serve in the Military? Did he receive or his widow a pension? Since this was after the 1880 Vital Records were kept for NYS so you could write the City of Ogdensburg (you state that is where he D) and request they do a search for those years. You will have to pay for each 3 year search period for a small fee. Have you checked your G Grandmother's Obit (from a newspaper) to see what information that contained. You could also go to your local LDS Family History Library and order Church Records, Vitals and etc for Ogdensburg, for a low fee and use their viewer to go over them.
