Surnames: Pomeroy, Pumroy Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/2RB.2ACE/8348 Message Board Post: Abner (2nd) Pomeroy came to Plattsburgh with his parents after the Revolutionary War, and then moved slowly across northern NY. He had a mortgage in Chazy, Clinton County in 1815. Then he was living in Fort Covington, Franklin Co., by 1830. The last I can find him, Abner and his wife Sally are in Massena, St. Lawrence County (per 1850 census). I am wondering if he died there or if he might have moved on, and I am trying to find out names of any children Abner and Sally had. Is Marie Pomeroy who married William Henry a daughter of Abner? Or is she possibly a daughter of Abner's brother Silas? Thanks - Judy
