They were both sons of Leona G. Finley born 1899 in Fine NY. According to my father his mother was not married to Macklin's father and never did so. Leona's father was a violent man and a "nut" who beat her over this. Macklin went to live with his fathers parents, not sure the circumstances as to why he was raised by them. This was what my father understood from his brothers and his mothers brother. According to my uncle's; my fathers brothers (both deceased) Macklin came to their home to visit his mother several times, until her death in 1938 from cancer.
