John's Father was Waterman - a Capt in Benj. Symonds Berkshire Regiment (John also served in Symonds). Capt Waterman died in the battle of Bennington. Capt. Waterman married Sarah Tubbs - The Tubbs family is a mayflower line. The Eells Famiy has been here since 1633. I will start digging up some stuff for you.
