Lafayette Wattles of Poolville died last Monday at the home of his son, Frank Wattles, at Washington Mills after a illness of several years, Mr Wattles visited his daughter, Mrs Frank Kessinger of this city and while here was taken seriously ill. He then went to visit his son at whose home his death occured. Mr Wattles was born about ?? years ago. He was married to Cornelia Launt, who died some time ago. Since the death of his wife Mr Wattles made his home with his daughter, Mrs Ellery Franklin of Poolville. He was of the Methodist faith and was highly respected by all who knew him. Mr Wattles leaves 7 children, Mrs W Reynolds-Susquehanna,Pa-Mrs E Franklin-Poolville, Henry Wattles-Erieville, Fred-Hubbardsville, Frank-Washington Mills. Mrs Fannie Lally-Rochester and Mrs Frank Kessingerof this city, He is also survived by two sisters. Mrs Ruth Osborn of Brookfield and Mrs Charles Carr of West Eaton. ___________________ The daughters of Lafayette must have married more than once as they have different last names on the obit for their brother, Frank.
