Mr. Castle, who had been in poor health tor the pa=t year, had suffered a fall a week ago, and had fallen again yesterday., Dr. Max Thaler of Parishville was called and found the inwt unconscious. He was taken to the Potsdam Hospital where he died a few hours later. Mr. Castle was born at Hnpkinton on Sept. 22, 1881, a son of Neison and Ester Fletcher', Castle. He never married. He had lived most of his life with a distant relative, Floyd Ca.-t'e. The nearest survivms are two sisters, Mrs. Arthur (Anna! Remington of Parishville, and Mrs. Herbert (Edith I Benedict of! Pasadenia, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews. . services were held Tuesday for Mrs. .ia Remington, 92, at the Seymour Funeral Home in Potsdam. The Rev. Orion Hess, retired Baptist minister, officiated. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery, Parishville. Mrs. Remington, widow of Arthur Remington, died Oct. 26, 1968, at the Charlebois Nursing Home where she had been a patient for several years. She was born a daughter of Nelson and Esther Fletcher Castle, July 4, 1876, in Hopkinton. After attending local schools she married Arthur Remington. In childhood she .emigrated with her parents to Parishville, N. Y. Several years of her young womanhood was spent in Salem Mass. Later she purchased a home and settled about 3 miles east of Parishville village, where she continued toTeside until her dearth Nov. 8, 1912. Sept. 15, 1886, she was married to Nelson Castle who survives her. The last 18 years of her life she was a great sufferer from rheumatism whii-h caused serious bodily deformity. For more that a year Just preceding her death she was almost constantly confined to her bed by reason of injury received in a fall. While the years brought suffering they brought also a spirit of patient endurance -and simple trust. The deceased was a member of the M. E. Church. Besides her husband she is survived by several stepchildren. The funeral was held from her late home Sunday afternoon Nov. 10 and was conducted by Rev. A. E. 'Page of Parishville who spoke by request of the family from the 14th chap ter of the Gospel according to St. John sept 14 1917 Nelson Castle, a respected citizen of this vicinity, passed away Sept. 8. He was born May 25, 1841, in Highgate, Vt. and when a youth' he came to * Catherinesville, near this village, and spent the remainder of his life there engaged in farming. Mr. Castle was a member of the M. E. Church and a devout student of his Bible. Rev. Van Ornum, his pastor, officiated Sunday at the funeral and burial was in the Catherinesville cemetery near the home where he passed so many years. Besides his two sons he is survived by three daughters, Mrs. E. B. Lee of Vergennes, Vt., Mrs. J. A. Brazelton, of Monticello, Iowa, and Mrs. Arthur Remington of Parishville.
