Here are some dates on the Taillon family: Michael Taylor, or Michel Taillon, my great-great-grandfather, was b. 7 NOV 1820 Vermont, d. 18 APR 1895 Cheboygan Co., Michigan. Son of Joseph Taillon, b.about 1790 New York, d.? and Francoise Couturier, b. 17 OCT 1786 St-Denis sur Richelieu, Quebec. Michael had an older sister, Angeline. Don't know much about her. He had a younger brother, Isaac, whose baptismal record (in St-Denis sur Richelieu) indicates the family was living in Grand Isle, Vermont, in 1825. The youngest sister, Betsy, who married Alexander Tromble. Joseph Taylor's father was Michel Taillon, born before 1760 in Quebec, son of Jean-Baptiste Taillon and Ange Trudo. Based on census and family records I have been able to trace my branch of the family's movement as follows: Living in Vermont by 1820, in Grand Isle, Vermont by 1825, living in Dickinson Township by 1847. I have the info on Joseph's parents from Virginia Easley DeMarce, (veasleyd@aol.com) Another source on the Taillons is Jean Baril at rbarilsr3@comcast.net. Hope this helps, Ann Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
