EAST LISBON, June 2. - Saturday morning, May 28, about 6 o'clock, Thomas Todd, who was enjoying ordinary good health, started for the field to plant some potatoes, carrying some seed with him. As he did not return for breakfast his daughter went to look for him. About 20 rods from the house she found her father lying in an unconscious condition. She immediately summoned help, which arrived in a few minutes, but life was extinct. The deceased leaves a wife, one son, two daughters and numerous relatives to mourn his loss. The funeral services were held at his late home May 30, conducted by the Rev. Mr. Bruce, pastor of the M.E. church of Morley. The funeral was largely attended. The interment was in Lawrence cemetery. Mr. Todd was a kind husband, loving father and was highly respected by all who knew him and he will be greatly missed by all- He was 83 years of age and emigrated from England to America when a young man.
