I'm Sardine's gggg granddaughter through his daughter Harriet "Hattie" Estella VanOrnum McWilliams Rogers (from the mysterious McWilliams marriage where Hattie is shown to have married Samuel Gardner McWilliams in 1869). My gg grandmother, Margaret Danola McWilliams was born 1873 but in 1870 Margaret is shown on the census as living with her parents (the census record mistakenly lists her age as 34 instead of 24) and Samuel is shown as living with his parents on their farm. Then Hattie was married to Jay Rogers in 1879 and there doesn't appear to be any mention of what happened to Samuel. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
