Historical Society in Canton, NY. They got out a very old map, and we were able to locate three locations in a town, that had the family name I was searching; two businesses and a home. Appearing in a lot next to the home, it said: "Paul B.G." meaning Paul Burying Ground. We then compared the old map, with a present day map, got the correct route number for today and found it! So perhaps they would be able to help you too, if you can give them a time frame to search in. They do not charge much for researching. Good luck.
