Murray Murray, Helen B. MASSENA Helen Brunette Murray, 97, a former resident of Massena, N.Y., died on April 28, 2010 in Durham, N.C. Born on September 11, 1912, in Ogdensburg, N.Y. to Edward J. and Anna Mae Badger Brunette. She was educated in Catholic schools in Ogdensburg and graduated from Potsdam Normal School (now State University of New York at Potsdam) in 1933. She taught in public schools in St. Lawrence County, completing her career as an elementary school teacher in Massena. Following their retirements, the couple moved to Bradenton, Fla. and lived there for a number of years. Mr. Murray died in 1987, and Mrs. Murray relocated to Durham in 2003, to be near her family. Mrs. Murray was predeceased by her brother, George Brunette, by her husband, Philip E. Murray and by her son, Philip G. Murray. She is survived by her son, Thomas W. Murray (Sandra) of Durham, N.C.; her daughter, Anne M. Hunter of Latham, N.Y.; and by six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Arrangem! ents in Ogdensburg are being handled by the Fox and Murray Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the City of St Jude, Mobile, Ala. or the charity of one's choice.
