    1. [NYSTLAWR] ARTHUR L BURNS in Ogdensburg and GLAUDE(Glode, Gloud, Gladu)
    2. Ann Burns
    3. Ellen Thompson Glaude married Arthur L Burns in December of 1898 in St Mary's Cathedral. I can only assume that she had been widowed. I have located a few Glaude families in the county but have not been able to make a link. Her mother Margaret Thompson lived with Arthur and Ellen and that is how I found Ellen's maiden name. Any information about the descendants of Arthur Burns and Ellen Thompson Glode - namely Anna (b 1901), Arthur (b. 1904), George (b 1907) and Catherine (b 1910) would be appreciated. There were several related Burns families in Ogdensburg at this time and they pretty much gave their children all the same names. It is this particular line that I am currently researching. I have found the family in the 1910, 1920 and 1930 census. In 1930 Arthur and Ellen were living with son Arthur and daughter Katherine (sp) on Riverside Ave. I believe that Anna died circa 1926. Arthur later married Lena Matthews and had a daughter named Jane who apparently died as a baby. I don't know if they had any other children. From gravestone information Arthur died in 1976 and Lena in 1988. I am also interested in information about Robert John Glode (could be one of many spellings) who was the son of Ellen Thompson and unknown Glode (sp) circa 1894 in Ogdensburg. He was living with Arthur and Ellen in 1910 according to the census but not later. I can't find Arthur and Ellen in 1900. What would the best source be - Canton or Ogdensburg - to search records? I have access to ancestry.com but have not been able to pinpoint these people with any accuracy. I have found quite a lot of information in the Ogdensburg Advance newspaper online but some is a bit suspect as there were so many Arthur, George, and Catherine Burns. Ann Burns Ottawa, ON
