The owner told us to close the gate behind us when we drove up the hill because the cows could get out. There were lots of cows who were curious about us but no danger to us. The grave is off to one side by itself, as I recall. On the same visit, we went to Sonora, site of the Tuolumne Co. historical society. They had some stuff but you really need to talk to the historian, so I guess another trip to Sonora is in order. We just returned from a summer in upstate NY and visited the cemetery in Nicholville, St Lawrence County. There is a lot to explore there. We will return next year and I plan to spend more time investigating family in the area. My great-grandmother was Lydia Adelphia Pratt, youngest child of Rev. Silas Pratt. If you would like info about that side of the family, I would be happy to share. I also know quite a bit about the other siblings. Silas was the big mystery to me. Do you have info about Nellie, Clarence's sister? Glad to get in touch. Evelyn Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
