At some point in the next few weeks I hope to go to Ogdensburg to do a little research in person. It's just over an hour's drive from my home. The online newspapers and ancestry.com are terrific sources but I should do a little more 'bare knuckles' research to complete the picture. I am able to give you some information on the parents and siblings of Ellen Thompson if you are interested. I think the father of Robert John Glode might have been Peter Glode. Canton might be a place to do research, in terms of probate records. Ogdensburg would be a good place to search, also. The Ogdensburg library has lots of newspapers on microfilm. The library also has a number of books to look through.
