My gg grandfathers name is William Andrew Monroe and he was born in Lisbon, St Lawrence County in 1840 at/by the Church of Latter Day Saints. His father was also born in New York around the 1820's but that's all I know/can find about his father. I have heard that his father was a seaman near Ogdensburg and I think he died at sea because his mother was a widow. His mother was from Canada and I think her name was Susan. Susan moved William and her other children to Bay City, Michigan in 1850's after her husband died. Does anyone have anything to add because I'm stuck at William and his mother Susan? I have traced them this far and am stuck. Please let me know! Thank you, Lindsey Monroe Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
