I am applying to the Mayflower Society, ancestor Gov. William Bradford of the Mayflower. I have known about the connection since the middle 1960's but never did anything about the information I have until recently. I have collected a vast amount of information on some of his descendants. The lineage has been proven from Gov. William Bradford down to Oliver Hastings and Mariah Rowland. I have never seen in any of my documents listing her as "Hannah Marie Rowland". Both Oliver and Mariah are buried in the Edwardsville Cem., Morristown, New York. From my meeting with the Mayflower representative, I need to apply additional information. Her tombstone reads "Mariah Rowland, Wife of Oliver Hastings". Annie Cady has their photographs posted but they are unreadable. Another one of the descendant of Oliver Hastings and Mariah Rowland will also apply. She lives in the area nearby this cemetery. She cleaned the stones up and now they are readable. She sent me photographs. If you will send me your email address, I will be happy to send you their photographs. I also enlisted the services of a genealogy who lives in Waddington, St Lawrence County to research various lines. Items of importance she found are as follows: 1. Intestate doc for Mariah Hastings, filed by your Warren, "son of Mariah Hastings" which list the heirs of hers. 2. The 1850, Schedule Three, Morality Schedule which gives data on Joel Rowland. He died in February of 1850, before the 1850. He states he was born in CT. Still no parents listed. My line goes through Rev. George Samuel Hastings, son of Oliver Hastings and Mariah Rowland, who married Sarah Elizabeth Bellinger, daughter of Adam P. Bellinger. Do you have documentation that her names was "Hannah Marie Rowland" as I have never seen her listed as such? I think it important you post your information for all interested in this line. Please send me your email and I will share copies of documents I have obtained. In time, I would love to have dates and places for Warren. Again, please send your email if you are interested in some of the documents I have found. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. I don't have any parents for Joel either. My husband is descended from Hannah Marie Rowland (their daughter) - married Oliver Hastings. Their son Warren Hastings then his daughter Olive Jane Hastings who married Willard Putman. My husband's grandmother is Ellen Maud Putman who married Murray Mills. I'm glad you asked the question. I'll be interested in the reply. I see you list her name as Mariah Rowland whereas I have Hannah Marie Rowland. My information came handed down from family members. Where does yours come from. Maybe we can get it right. Thanks, Karen Davis Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. This information was obtained from actual church records for St. John's Episcopal Church. The film number for this information is 1310660 item 4. This film is in the Family History Library in Salt Lake City, Utah. Robert John Boyd and Isabella Hodge (both of Edwardsburgh Canada West) were married on March 22, 1851 in St. John's Episcopal Church , Ogdensburg, NY. I do not know whether Robert John Boyd was a sibling of the Margaret Boyd who married Robert Thompson. Letitia J. Thompson, daughter of Robert Thompson and Margaret Eliza Boyd, married Fidel Kaiser/Keyser. They had at least one child named Lucy. I found information on the internet for a Robert William Thompson (Bob) buried in Woodlawn Cemetery, in Guelph, Ontario Province. Guelph might be in Wellington Co. I have not contacted Woodlawn Cemetery to find out the dates for Robert W. Thompson. Mary A. L. Thompson/aka May A. Thompson married Walter David Hamilton on Dec 25, 1889, in Chicago, IL. This is confirmed. I looked up the marriage in a marriage record index for Chicago. The minister never returned the marriage license. Do you know where Ellen Burns, wife of Arthur Burns, is buried? I would also like to know where Arthur Burns is buried. Sharyn Brackett ____________________________________________________________ SHOCKING: 13" Macbook Pro for $91.72! Black Lake is located in the town of Morristown in St. Lawrence county. If you go to Google, you can just search on "Black Lake, Morristown, NY" and you will get a map of the area. The names you list are all common in that area. Are there any specific people within those families that you are looking for? Anne Cady In a message dated 7/12/2010 11:51:34 P.M.
