    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Robertson Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/2RB.2ACE/8350.1 Message Board Post: Eleazer Robertson, b. 1818 (not 1817) is listed on the 1880 census in DePeyster, St. Lawrence county, NY. This census is transcribed, indexed and online at www.familysearch.org (click 'advanced search' then 'census' then select the 1880 census). He is not listed in the transcription for the 1870 census (for the county only) online at usgenweb.org. Possibly he moved to the county between 1870 and 1880. If you know his birthplace you might want to re-post your query listing that. If it is in the county and if he was a landowner, you may want to research the indexed land records at the county courthouse in Canton. Hope this helps - Russ Sprague Kensington, Maryland

    3. If they are living and have a listed phone number, you might find them with www.411.com. You can search the Ogdensburg area that way but if they retired to some other state there is no practical way to search every area. The largest Ogdensburg cemetery and some smaller ones have been photographed and indexed with the results uploaded to the county site at www.usgenweb.org by Anne Cady. You might find their headstones there. At www.rootsweb.com (left side of the main page), see the ssdi (social security death index). If you think any relatives qualified for social security (which began in the 1930's) and died after 1960 (when records were kept on computers) then you can easily search by state, town or the entire country. 2. Russell Sprague
    3. Hi Lisa - Your query went out with the subject line 'commandsubscribe-digest' (you will see that below). You may want to re-post your query and here are a few tips that might help get good results. First, a subject line that is short and meaningful. Also, you might consider one query for the Ingerson name and one for Kitto. In the query, list what town(s) the people lived in. The query is posted to the St. Lawrence county, NY message board but I can't tell why since there is no town (or even a state) mentioned. List any relevant dates you know of or can make a reasonable guess at. St. Lawrence county was formed in 1802. Depending on when the people lived there (and what town) different resources may be available to check. You might find something just on the surnames alone but if you can add more relevant info that will increase your odds. You especially need a good subject line. Hope this helps - Russ Sprague Kensington, Maryland From: lisa smith <lisa_smith61434@yahoo.com> To: NYSTLAWR-D-request@rootsweb.com Subject: commandsubscribe-digest Date: Fri, 16 Dec 2005 20:42:50 -0700 I am interested in family.
