The Newspaper is still on the web under the Historical New York newspapers. I don't have access to Edwards but maybe someone on the St. Lawrence County web page can help. If you have access to the 1930 Canton Yearbook, I'd like to know about BAKER, DALTON, WOODS. Thank you, Raymond

Perry and Kio married in Edwards. My husband's grandfather was Charles Perry whose parents were Manny Perry and Ella Kio. I've been trying to find where in St, Lawrence county they were from. I know they married in Edwards and Manny attended schools in Toledo, Ohio. At some point Manny at least returned to Canton, NY . His wife Minnie Leaders was born in Ohio. Her mother and father were William and Mary Crouse Leaders. I'd like to know what Perry's are buried in Edwards as well as Kio's. Whoever needed a 1930's Canton High yearbook, I may be able to help.

Hi Lee That Cemetery is now called the Silas Wright Cemetery. One can always contact the St Lawrence County Historical Society and get information. URL: http://slcha.org/information/historians.php Pat R
Russ- I have not seen Pat in over a year but I believe that she still lives in Gouverneur. I believe that her telephone # is still (315) 287-0303. Do you still need someone to contact her? As you have noted there is more than one old cemetary in Canton. I usually think of the Silas Wright cemetary when I think of an old Cemetery in the Canton Village area. The Old St Mary's Cemetary is in Gary's e-mail to you and then there is Bridges Cemetary just to the east of the Evergreen Cemetary on Route 11. Lee, Are you sure you are not referring to the "Old St. Mary's Cemetery" on Judson St. Road? The cemetery was leveled, no stones left, and a stone monument was erected with a plaque of those people known buried there. I believe this took place back in the 40's.
