Records indicate it occured in St. Larwrence, NY---I suspect they mean St. Lawrence County, NY. We are also searching for an obituary and/or burial/cemetery information for this family John Baptize Tougas was born 12-13-1813 in St. Constant, Quebec. His parents were Jean Baptize Tougas & Charlotte Lemieux. They are believed to be buried in Quebec. Wife of John Baptize Tougas--Marguerite/Margaret Gauthier was born 1829 in Canada, died 1-16-1913 in St. Lawrence Cty, NY???? We do not know the parents of Marguerite/Margaret Gauthier Tougas Hoping if you could locate the marriage record, obituary/ burial or cemetery it would give us more information on this family.
