If copy and paste this it cannot wrap around like that. Do a similar search and you should see the link. It looks pretty useful. Good luck - Russ

Surnames: Boshane Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/2RB.2ACE/8520.1 Message Board Post: If you go to www.rootsweb.com, look to the left side of the screen for 'social security death index'. If you search for Bosane, Glen, there is one hit for a person with dob Jan 6, 1910 and death in March 1964. Social security card issued in NY but no town specified. There is a link for more info - you can send away for more info but there is a fee. I just checked Anne Cady's cemetery transcriptions - there is a picture of a headstone for Glen A Boshane with a military marker 1912 - 1964, East Riverside Cemetery in Gouverneur, NY. Start at www.usgenweb.org, click 'New York' then select a county and select St. Lawrence county. Once at that site, use 'select a link' to select 'anne cady' or 'cemeteries'. Hope this helps - Russ Sprague Kensington, Maryland

There were so many Irish immigrants in this area, it would be hard to prove a definate connection without proof, even in the same time frame. Good luck , Laura

Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/2RB.2ACE/8504.2 Message Board Post: I don't have any solid information on Allan Perry, but I do have some data on Catherine, his wife. She was born March 7, 1820. She is the daughter of Michael Scarborough and Mary Ann Marsh: Michael Scarborough b. Norfolk NY & Mary Ann Marsh m. 21 Jan 1818 | Maria Robertson Scarborough | b. 9 Feb 1819 | Catherine Sarah Scarborough | b. 7 Mar 1820 | & Allan Perry | b. 1813 | Marilla Sophia Scarborough | b. 21 Nov 1823 | James Alexander Michael Scarborough | b. 25 Mar 1826 | William Robert Scarborough | b. 8 Apr 1828 | Eliza Ann Scarborough | b. 5 Dec 1830 | Mary Lucretia Scarborough | b. 19 Jul 1833 Mary Ann Marsh is the daughter of Catherine French (b. 1765) and Abraham Marsh (1750 -1833). Catherine French is the daughter of Jeremiah French (1743 - 1820) and Elizabeth Wheeler (1745 - 1838). I suspect that Allan Perry is related to the Perry's that settled in Coteau du Lac, Canada in the late 1700s or early 1800s. I haven't verified the following information, but here is what I have. Samuel Perry Sr. married to a Rebecca ____. Their children were: Samuel Perry Jr. (b. abt 1767, d. 1841) Johnson Perry (b. 1779) married to Mary Hare (b. 1782) - children James Johnson, Margaret, Eliza, Louisa, Maria Allan Perry (b. 1782, d. 1850) married to Sarah Wilson (b. 1787) in 1806 John Perry (possibly 1784 - 1860) Phoebe Perry married to James Hare in 1905 Rebecca Perry married to Thomas Mann My guess is that Allan Perry (b. 1813) is really Allan Perry Jr. son of Allan Perry (b. 1782). My interest is in Alexandre (Alexander) Perry (b. April 14, 1807 in Coteau du Lac, d. Aug. 24, 1888 in Coteau du Lac). I think he might also be the son of Allan Perry Sr.. My other ancestors in the Coteau du Lac area at this time are Orton Pease and Gershom French. Hope some of this helps. Tom
