Hello Listers, I have been trying for some time to find some information on the death of my great grandfather William Ayers Sherwood. I know that he died sometime between 1917-1920. My great grandmother's last child was born in 1917 in Massena, NY and she is listed as a widow in the 1920 census. I do know that Northern NY newspapers are online and have tried to search for an obit for him using William Sherwood, William A. Sherwood. W.A. Sherwood etc. to no avail. Death indexes show a William H. Sherwood that died in Watertown April 29,1919 and the H. could be just a typo. I am wondering if perhaps Massena hospital wasn't in existence in 1919 and perhaps he died in a Watertown hospital or perhaps he was in Watertown for some other reason at the time of his death. There are two other William Sherwoods in the death index that died btwn 1917-1920 but neither of them have the initial of A and they are further away in Livingston county. I do realize he could have died after my great grandmother became pregnant in 1916 but there is no WIlliam Sherwood in the death indexes fitting his locale or middle initial. The only clue that I have that may help me find his date of death, is my great grandmother's obituary. Harriet Murch Sherwood died 21 Sep 1966 and she is buried in OLD PINE GROVE CEMETERY. Her obituary just states her husband died many years ago. I am thinking that perhaps her husband may be buried in OLD PINE GROVE CEMETERY along with her and that perhaps his headstone would have a date of death on it. Does anybody have access to a list of who is buried in that cemetery? Is there an office in that cemetery, and does anybody have the phone number to it if it is a working cemetery? I have gained a great deal of information by calling cemetery offices and/or cemetery associations. Some cemeteries have the exact date of death and exact date of burial on their burial cards. I would appreciate any help that is given me. Thank you in advance, Renne Harrington ____________________________________________________________ Click for free information on obtaining a second mortgage. http://thirdpartyoffers.juno.com/TGL2141/fc/Ioyw6i3m32hFae1Jxs8864BLBslMlQgAuIezeh9Fzm3Vi4gqWTXEbY/

Does any one have any information for Nathan Stone (1770-1834), his wife Eunice Priest (1772-1846) and Charles Parmater (1790-1870) and his wife Rhoda Stone (1801-1850) of Louisville, NY? Charles had a farm just south side of Louisville. I believe that Nathan's farm was taken for the Seaway. Dean and Dawn Huseby [email protected]

I was up there about a year ago and wrote down the information for the Cemetery Assosciation that was posted on the building. I called the number and left a message; then wrote a letter - but have received no response to either inquiry. I'd like to find out if they have any of the old records. I'm looking for John Ballantine's wife Mary (McShannon); he's buried there, but no sign of Mary.
