Belva Tupper married Calvin Martin and had a son Calvin. It was Caroline, not Claire, Fountain that married Arden Eels. She was Aunt to my grandfather. She wrote the "Housewife's Corner each month in the Review. At the moment all I have is a notation in the Eells family History book for Clarine Fountain marrying Arden Eells. They lived in West Pierrepont and Clare. Had three children Charles Eells, Lucy Eells, Mary Eells. Mary lived in Russell and married Mr Sharpstine. Lucy married Mr Collins. Charles married Lottie Roselle Brown - she was active in the Seventh-day Adventist Church. She was influential in the purchase of th eship "Pitcairn", the first Adventist mission boat. Burried in Clare Cemetery. John's Father was Waterman - a Capt in Benj. Symonds Berkshire Regiment (John also served in Symonds). Capt Waterman died in the battle of Bennington. Capt. Waterman married Sarah Tubbs - The Tubbs family is a mayflower line. The Eells Famiy has been here since 1633. I will start digging up some stuff for you. Arden was the son of Calvin (Edom) Eells b. Sept. 18, 1806 and Ann Elizabeth Barlow. I have Calvin, born in Peru, NY, as the son of John Eells and Polly Clark. John was born June 21, 1760 and a Revolutionary War soldier, who was born in Conn., but fought with the Massachusets Milita.
