Can't find the right words to tell you just what a wizard you are! Anyway, let me answer your posts in order. As I look at my data I see Nathaniel, b. 22 Nov 1792, did have a gr gr grndson named Edwin, as you said. Only I didn't have a birthdate for this Edwin. We agree that Stuart is the son of Edwin Wattles, b. 21 Dec 1916, d. 22 Oct 1998. I had Elizabeth ___ as Edwin's wife (from the site you gave me). You have now supplied her maiden name, Anderson, and her father's name, William -- plus Edwin's parents, Earl Wattles and Mable (her maiden name is Clark), which agrees with my file (only I didn't know their Edwin was the Edwin I was looking for). Now for Earle Wattles and Mabel Clark's children you found in the 1820 census. Elizabeth and Edwin have to be twins. And I have two other children with no dates: Paul and Alida (Auda?). Don't suppose you saw anything on them. You went back (in the census) and found Earle's (husband of Mabel) parents, Edwin Wattles, b. 1835 and Elizabeth ______ b. 1855. I have them in my data only this Edwin has a birthdate of 1837, d. 1912, and Elizabeth's maiden name is Steele, d. 1923. Earl N. Wattles, b. 1882 is Earle Nathaniel Wattles, b. Mar 1882. You were close on guessing Mable as 1880. It's actually 19 Apr 1879. Now all of this is wonderful, Kathy. Only I have one problem: Who is Edwin Wattles, b. 15 Feb 1820, d. Oct 1984? And what Edwin did Frank Wattles, b. 15 Dec 1883, d. 30 Jun 1942, and wife, Ella Beekman, have???? And who is Frank's father???? Now for your post about 1850 census showing an Edwin Wattles living with Nathaniel Wattles 1794 (should be 1792) and Cincantha 1800 (it's Samantha Remington, his 2nd wife) Nathaniel and 1st wife, had Edwin R., b. 1837. As you pointed out in another post this Edwin R. Wattles did have two wives! As for an Edwin living with Walter Wattles 1825 and Susan 1827, Walter is his brother and Susan Amanda Earl Walter's wife. Russell is anothe brother! That's the relationships. You said you thought Edwin b. 1835 first wife was a Louise (Louisa) and died 1874. Right again! It's Louisa Bennet, b. 1843, d. 5 Jun 1874. I can't say enough about your research abilities, Kathy. You're wonderful! Now how about that other Edwin and Frank Wattles, and Frank's parents???
