Sally, When I was in NY last month, I visited the church cemetery, looking for familiar names of ancestors. There were a couple of guys mowing the lawns who gave me a number of a retired gentleman who had the records of the cemetery. He may possibly also have the marriage records. He may be contacted at the church. I don't remember his name but just address the request to the church: Woestina Reformed Church 1397 Main St. Rotterdam Junction, NY 12150 Ph: 518- 887-5152 If that doesn't work, I suggest that you call the town clerk of Rotterdam and see if they have the marriage records for 1904. If they do, they will send you a form to fill out and tell you how much it costs for the search, whether they find the info or not, the charge is still the same. Their phone number is : 518-355-7820. If they don't house the records, they should be able to direct you in the right direction, although I imagine that Schenectady Co. would be the next best bet. Schenectady Co. Clerk 518- 388-4220 Hope this is of help to you. It is my understanding that even though the Woestina Church is in Rotterdam, the marriage record is probably kept by the Schenectady City Clerk. Is this true? Also, has anyone ever contacted the church itself for records. I know many churches don't have the staff to process genealogy requests, and this is a particularly small church. Thank you.
